The Dune Encyclopedia, compiled by Dr Willis E. McNelly , is a comprehensive, authorized encyclopedia spanning the Dune series up to book 4, and including little-known information and nice drawings. It's written from post-Scattering perspective.

Information

The trade paperback edition of the DE had a print run of around

100,000. With no second printing.

There is two different hardback editions of the DE:

One was a regular trade edition (3000) Mainly for Library's

The other was smaller than the trade size but had the same content. This is whats known as the Book Club Edition

There is also a British trade paperback and a German Hardback in 2 volumes (pictured above). The British DE used the same plates as the American one. The German one has exactly the same content apart from its translation

Dr. Willis E. McNelly, Professor Emeritus in English Literature at
California State University Fullerton passed away in his sleep at 12:45 am
on April 7 after a courageous battle with Mesothelomia at St. Jude Hospital
in Fullerton.

Dune Theatre Program Book from Japan.

32 page slick paper book has color and black and white photos on every page.

When movies are released theatrically in Japan, souvenir programs are sold at the theater.
The programs are like magazines which feature color pictures as well as b&w photos, and lots of accompanying text (mostly in Japanese).
What makes these programs so unique is that they feature a lot of pics (from the film as well as publicity shots) that aren't commonly available.

Movie programs are a big collectible in Japan, and for good reason: they're QUALITY mementos
